Hi there! I made a trigger pack for both EE and AoC which aims to make the game more realistic. Here are the modifications: 1. Rescaled units 2. Destroyed/Killed units remain on the battlefield 3. Human units die more easily 4. Effects(exploding aircraft units and landed transport helicopters) 5. Camera rotation 6. Active day/night cycle ---- For more detailed information and instructions on how to use the triggers, read the document in the archive. Edit: Changed resource iron to food for ships so that fishing ships can gather them. NOTE: Your fishing ships can gather only enemy ships.

Nice! Now, have you submitted this to EEH? I'm assuming you did. It'll be helpful that way. Continue exploring the scen editor!

I did but it has to be confirmed. It takes some time. Do you know if it's allowed to post an image in the description in EEH download? Just asking. I've only seen links.

The problem is not that its not allowed to post images, but it just wouldn't work. I already asked in the staff forums (I.e. Sails) but no success.

Okay, then. Thanks, Soty. Well, any thoughts on the mod?

Sir there are faulty triggers. I am using the AOC version, and gathering resources from destoryed/killed units won't work, and the fishing rafts/boats don't do it either. There were a few more things I found, but I forgot them and must check again.

By not gathering, you mean that when you tell a citizen to gather a resource - it doesn't do it? Yes, I've noticed that it works only for your destroyed units(and I'm not sure if it's always or sometimes). Perhaps the only way to make the citizen gather resources from destroyed/killed units is by building a settlement nearby. I've done that. As for fishing boats - they only gather food. So the iron from other ships is out of the question(unless someone HEXes the game). Maybe if ships had resource food it could work. I think I tried that but it didn't work. I'm not 100% sure though. I'll have to test it again and tell you.
P.S. boost, your avatar rocks! Do you have a hi-res of it?

Hmm, I remember sometime last year making a B-2 Bomber have Iron resources, and the citizens gathered it no problem. Maybe it's because nothing decays anymore, that may be conflicting with the gathering in this case. Thanks, I actually do have a hi-res version of it! But it's only 1024 x 768... store2.up-00.com/Apr13/Vjt03680.jpg

Thanks again! boost, if ships have food resource, fishing ships can gather them regardless of the depth but only enemy ships. Not yours or your ally's. Also, fishing ships can't gather food from a fallen plane in the water. I updated the mod in the first post and on EEH.

Hmm ok that sucks of course. No way for one to collect resources from a fallen allies' unit in order to spare him from losing more. Alright no biggie, maybe we can fix this in the future. I am an aspiring hex editor so who knows, maybe even I will fix it haha!

If I recall correctly citizens can gather from dead infantry with no problems. This applies to both ally and enemy soldiers. Someone go test and confirm this first :U

No, gathering from your dead infantry doesn't work right. Either the citizen won't gather, or will gather from a unit or two and dispose the resource(not always since the gathered resource sometimes just disappears from the citizen) and then do nothing.

Be sure you put it in the scenario folder, and under respective game (EE for EE, Aoc for Aoc).

Fasterone, Shieldwolf, both files(for the respective game) should be placed in the main game folder, as it's said in the Read me file. The *.scn file is NOT a map. It's a trigger pack.

That's basically what I said. All .scn files must be within the Scenario Folder of each game pertaining to it, REGARDLESS of it being a scenario or a trigger pack. If you mix one another, then, there's almost a 100% chance you can't access them.

Hmm... so the trigger pack would work even if it's in the Scenario folder? Because when I save triggers with CTRL + S, 2 files appear in the main game folder - a text file and a scn file. And they work. I've noticed that everytime you meddle with the Scenario Editor, in the scenario folder appears a small scn file - ScenDefault or something like that. I haven't really checked what it contains.

And they work. I've noticed that everytime you meddle with the Scenario Editor, in the scenario folder appears a small scn file - ScenDefault or something like that. I haven't really checked what it contains. That explains a lot then. Remember my request the first time I tried your pack? My request for you to save it in the editor and send me one in another filename? That's because the ScenDefault is whatever scenario you are currently editing in the editor (similar to a saved game, but this time, in the editor you are working). So when you gave us the scenario file without giving us your default, there's a tendency my default would not recognize the trigger pack, that's why we (together with the new guy), initially can't load your scenario. I suggest to have your scenario in its own filename (I have 2 backups of each scenario I am currently working), so that whatever happens, you have something to come back to. You do know that an accidentaly CTRL+S to a completely different scenario would overwrite the one scenario that you have been previously working? That will suck big time, if ever you like to multi-task on scenarios or trigger packs.

I do have backups. The reason I left "ScenDefault" as the default name is because I thought it wouldn't work with a different name. I typed CTRL + S, the files appeared and I said: - OK, these are the files. I won't alter their names and place. And how come your ScenDefault in the ''Scenarios'' folder gets confused with my ScenDefault + the text file in the root game folder?

I'm not entirely sure on the ScenDefault thing, that's a theory on my part. It's just that over the years, I have made these observations through trial and error, and I tend to avoid repeating my past mistakes. I have lost quite a lot of scenarios because of these and some other fooling around with the editor. EDIT: In case you don't know, the text file during your CTRL+S is only for your reference. It's not necessary to have when you submit scenarios. It comes in handy for reference though, in trigger packs like yours.

And it's good, since yours is a trigger pack, and the Text file would make it easier for all to see how you made them. Any other new projects you are currently working?

Funny you should ask. You could say I'm working on a new menu layout. That is, changing the background wallpapers and music. Years ago I changed only one of the backgrounds and it looked cool. As for this trigger pack, what would you advise me? Is it OK to leave the files as they are or should I rename them or something? You said you had some difficulties installing it.

I think it's better to have it under 1 scenario name (trigger pack), and then have the text file named as (triggers used - for reference).
