i can't figure out how to trigger an effect based on the conidition of the death of a spawned unit =/
example ... create marine/task area marine
marine is killed, so player receives 100 food

hope this helps:
(1) create Marine with Variable0 at 1. (2) Condition: If "Marine with Variable0 at 1" does not exist, 100 Food. be sure though that the trigger is not looping, but uses the ON and OFF function with a delay of 1.
I usually do this stuff, especially when a trigger is supposed to loop.

aw, sorry for that. what i meant is the "marine with variable0 at 1" will differentiate it from the usual "marines". you could actually do either 2 things:
(1) to spawn it in an area, so that create marine with variable0 at 1 in AREA. or
(2) to spawn within LOS of an object, if that object (or the marine) dies.
to make things clearer, here's a sample trigger:
1. Area > SPAWN 2. Object > Marine in SPAWN with Variable0 at 1 (MARINE) 3. Object > Marine with Variable0 at 1 (call this SPAWN MARINE) 4. Effect > Create MARINE 5. Effect > Create SPAWN MARINE 6. Effect > Give Food
For continued spawning after NO marine exists:
Trigger: If SPAWN MARINE does not exist, Create Marine, Give Food, Trigger OFF, delay 1, Trigger ON.
