EE is no longer being made.

I have dire news my friends, the manufacturer of Empire Earth games has, well, stopped making copies of EE. The price of a new box of EE gold is atleast $175 US dollars; however there are still plenty of regular boxes of Empire Earth left. I only checked Amazon.com and I haven't been able to find other places that sell EE other than download sites.

Seriously though, the future is really bleak for EE. The Windows 8 problems are apparently still there, and with this additional news of stopping production and sales, well, it's up to us to guys and save.ee to keep the interest alive.

I'd say if someone produced a thing similar to Forgotten Empires or Tales of Middle Earth for AoC, EE would probably gain popularity.

But time is precious and rarely available...

I certainly have been having quite a lot of free time for the past two months, and probably will keep having this for at least another two months or so. But I lack experience and skill.

Precisely my thoughts. The one thing that is preventing the community in expanding is the lack of total conversion projects they can do. We have said it again and again, until we find out how to decode the CEMs, we will be stuck with stock models and editing SSTs only. A turn-off really, on serious modders.

As to BOOST, I for one would really appreciate if you can make a user-friendly guide in Hex Editing. The guys who know how to do so should share their knowledge (keep their notes handy), so the community won't forget how they have done things, and the potential to do things not yet done.

I am already in the process of making this through pictures. Until I figure out how to explain it via text, pictures must suffice. For easy ways out, and for reference for me, I took pictures of which values must be changed in order to do certain things by that specific unit. Of course, only the values I changed.

I will try and create a text version also along with the pictures. I have no clue when I will upload this though seeing as I keep getting new things to take pictures of.

I have noticed that amazon had 20 EE copies for sale then they had 34. Do you guys think that they still truly are making EE? Maybe it is just that people are selling used copies. We have to show Rebellion that Empire Earth still has market and fans and that people will still buy EE. Does anybody think they will make an EE 4 for the fans?

I would like to hope so, it would bring in money and fans of old RTS styled games, and we may even get new fans of this RTS also. There is a petition in Facebook, it has over 1000 signatures, maybe that would work as the author wants to send it off to Rebellion some time. Maybe you guys can sign it.

I would say they have what it takes in terms of experience and such, but they don't have any RTS games made, ever. This would be new for them meaning the likelihood of something not so good coming out is quite high.

I would hope that if they did so, that they would try and get the community and public involved somehow. I mean, look at us modders here, we probably know more about EE then they do!

is this the same page that links to EE Planet's petition? The online petition has progressed quite good, but it took around maybe 2 to 3 years to come. the problem is that there really is a general decline in RTS these past few years, although you might want to take a look on this:

As to EE, the chances are very slim. But with modders and scen designers still keeping the game into the radar, we hope to squeeze in another 3 to 5 years, God-willing, to EE's life. Just don't loose heart.

Oh, umm yes. I didn't know EE Planet was that famous or reknown, sorry.

Well, maybe my mod, once it gets 100% finished could reawaken some life into the first game, if it is liked enough. If I get at least enough downloads or "praises" or something like that as Ashrzr's EEv2, then it's all good.

What we need is more total mods, like EEv2 and my in progress one. I think with a lot of different and unique total mods, it will show just how great Empire Earth is, and with the right modding knowledge, can become.

There were lots of EE dedicated sites, a pity really, in just discovering them after the heydays of EE. Still, I daresay we still can do it!

Also, EEH is having another error, refusing to allow posts. Let me offer my editing/ proof-reading skills in all of your guides - darkonen's, alrqan's and yours. If you also want, I could somehow fuse all of them into one comprehensive guide, with your permissions.

I would definitely not mind you doing it, the bigger and more comprehensive one guide is, and the less other guides there are, the better.

I agree, we can do it! We just need some way to advertise EE and prove how great it still is, even if it is not yet 100% moddable. Until I get a gamer PC, I cannot advertise or show gameplay videos on Youtube. My PC can't handle the game along with Fraps also

What about anybody here? Any of you have Youtube accounts and can make some sort of "Attraction Gameplay" for the game?

The continuity of success for anything requires the interest of new people. The old guard can not hope to retain the same vigor for EE that they had at one time.
